Beta reading
I spent a few days reading two novels from writers on Goodreads who wanted beta readers to give them feedback. What a great experience. Two writers with enormous potential. One a completed sci-fi/alternate future novel that needs a few tweeks. I thought it would be a struggle but it held me to the end with excellent writing and a plot that kept twisting. The other was the first few chapters of a crime/thriller that has the potential to be a huge seller. Terrific crisp writing, a setup that draws you in wanting more. I think I'll do some more beta reading. One or two a month. A good way to keep me on my toes, seeing how good other unpublished writers can be.
